Little April Vase made in France, made up of 21 tubes, height 10 cm, Ø 2 cm, total length 55 cm
Created in 1991 by Sigolène Prébois and Catherine Lévy, is now considered a classic. The Museum of Modern Art Georges Pompidou considered this vase as a marker of its time and included it in its permanent design collection in 1997.
Inspired by Japanese ikebana, this vase isolates each flower in a tube to better showcase it. Articulated by metal rings, the April Vase is of variable geometry, it adapts to the flowers it houses and the supports on which it rests, and gives everyone the great pleasure of composing a successful bouquet.
Made up of glass tubes and similar metal parts that fit together, the April Vase can be taken apart.
More puny than its illustrious parent, the Little April Vase adapts easily to the different corners of its environment. It is also made up of 21 test tubes - in reduced form (10 centimeters high, instead of the 15 cm of the classic model).
The zinc protecting its metal parts becomes dull on contact with water and it is adorned with a light gray rust similar to frost. The metal parts do not support the dishwasher or stripping products. On the other hand, the April Vases are not afraid of a good bath with washing-up liquid.
The little April Vase comes with a spare tube and additional tubes are available separately.
